Neverending snake is a meditation on death and failure - it's also a remake of the classic arcade game Snake, with all of the fail states removed. As the game progresses and the player eats more “food” the game gets more difficult – not because the likelihood of bumping into a wall or oneself increases, but because it becomes difficult to tell where one is going or to distinguish the food from ones own body. Eventually the food is invisible, and the snake is a knot that clogs the screen. The goal is to explore what the game becomes when it’s impossible to die – or when the “end” is only player boredom (a more real ending anyway).
