Work With Me
I bring over a decade of experience with protocol design, experimental economics, and digital culture to organizations navigating complex technological and strategic terrain.
My background spans early smart contract development at Consensys, protocol architecture for projects like Circles UBI and Culturestake, and an ongoing artistic practice exhibited at some of the largest institutions in the world. This combination means I mix systems thinking and hands-on technical experience with lateral thinking and contemporary theory, all while grounded in communication styles appropriate for the general public. You can learn more about my perspective on
substack where I write monthly about software.
What I Offer
Strategic Advising
I am available for short term engagements focused on exploration of the markets enabled by emerging technology, digesting user research, translating technical experiments into products, and reviewing public-facing communications, whitepapers, etc. This can range from facilitated idea generation and feedback sessions to structured document review.
Protocol Development
I'm also available for longer open-ended research relevant to companies and organizations developing algorithmic incentives, curation, and other protocols for collective coordination. I have hands-on experience with web of trust and relational identity and human-in-the-loop algorithmic negotiations. One of my particular specialties is red-teaming perverse incentive structures.
Workshops
I offer hands-on workshops where strategic and social systems are explored through agent-based modelling, board games, and role play. I build these curriculums specifically for your organizational context and time frame. Examples include two-day engagements at Rupert's Alternative Education Program exploring new organizational forms and the n-space governance fellowship on workshopping a theory of change through computational models.
Keynotes
I am available for public speaking and panel discussions related to any of my areas of research. Recent engagements include: Keynoting LI-MA's Transformation Digital Art conference and invited lectures on AI and social media at Goethe Institut's Master's Program in Culture and Digitality, and HEDEN: Dopamine at Kunstinitiatief VHDG.
Who This Is For
I work best with organizations who are building something new and want to work in a cross-disciplinary way. My perspective is most unique in terms of my capacity to code-switch between technical depth and cultural context. Past clients and collaborators have included research labs, foundations, cultural institutions, and technology companies at various stages.
